About RAD

RAD offers a wide range of dance exams and assessments to motivate and reward students of all ages and abilities. The focus is on creativity and musicality, with a graded system providing opportunities to progress and achieve.

All candidates who successfully pass an examination or award receive a certificate of achievement and a breakdown of their result. Some grades and awards also offer medals.

RAD Ballet Programme

RAD BALLET PROGRAMME
5-6 years oldRAD pre-primary and primary
  • Develop awareness of correct posture

  • Perform basic steps with co-ordination

  • Perform with correct timing & responsiveness to music

  • Perform with expression

  • Show secure posture & correct weight placement

  • Show well stretched legs & articulate footwork

  • Show line through body & ability to shape arms

  • Performer with expression & communication

  • Introduction to Character work: Russian style(G1), Hungarian peasant style(G2),Ukranian style(G3)

  • Perform solo dances for exams

  • Ability to sustain an appropriate sense of style throughout more complex sequences
